Metal Garages

*FREE DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION IN 48 STATES ON METAL GARAGES*

Metal garages are what we excel at. We offer some of the best buildings made for your dollar. All metal garages are custom made to order. We can build them in almost any size and we have three main styles. We have the Regular Style (Rolled Corner Garage), Boxed Style (A-Frame or Gable type look) and the Boxed Vertical Roof Garage (Gable look with roofing installed upright, like its done on a house, which helps keep items off roof and drains water straight off the sides).

Your custom metal garage is built according to how it is ordered. This means that we custom design and build every garage we sell according to our 3 designs. We can cover your cars, tractors, boats, RVs, track loaders, old campers, new campers, tractor-trailers, buses, you name it we have covered it. We can build our garages with sides heights up to 16' with a center height of 20'. We sell a special value garage an 18' wide x 21' long x 7' height standard metal garage.

Our Steel Garages come in our standard 14 gauge square tubing (2.5" x 2.5") with 29 gauge sheet metal roofing. We also offer a 12 gauge (2.25" x 2.25") frame upgrade option. If you get high winds and/or heavy snows then get the 12 gauge frame.

We offer two kinds of garages in our three styles. Uncertified and Certified. In certain states we only sell certified garages (Arizona, California, Florida, New York, New Mexico and Colorado) due to mountain and lake effect snows and high winds.) In all other states you get to pick what you want.

If you need any of the following go ahead and order a certified unit.

Some people are not sure if they need a certified unit or not. If you plan to permit your building call and ask your local building permit office what they need to allow you to get a permit. Most of the time they need a site plan, which can be a simple sketch of where you are going to put the building in your yard or a professional drawing. The building inspectors want to make sure that your not going too put the garage to close to the property line. This is due to old fire code rules, that dealt with wood garages which would burn. They also want to make sure that you don't put the metal garage on top of your septic tank or field lines.

Go to garage plans to get more information.

In most areas a garage that is built on concrete is considered permanent, while if you just build it on dirt it is considered portable. It takes about 4 to 6 hours to build an average size metal garage.

Garages can be built with garage doors in the front or the sides. If you want to put the door(s) in the side, the leg height must be 2' taller than the door height.

All our metal garages are made out of steel and not aluminum. All frames are galvanized to help stop rust. All metal roofing is painted on the outside to one of our standard 13 roof colors. The inside part of the metal roofing is painted in a light color like white.

Metal garages give you a peace of mind. They will protect your items from hail, rain, snow, and the sun. They can help prevent someone from stealing your items. Steel garages are very handy to have just to have a place for the man of the house to do what men do, work on stuff.

Did you know that over time, the sun's rays will cause UV damage to your tires, paint and rubber seals? Keeping the UV rays off your items will slow the aging process greatly.

Did you know that pine straw and leaves when mixed with the acid in rain water can cause major paint damage to your vehicles? Steel garages are by far the most desired building type.

Metal Garages: Questions and Answers

Q: Can I put a 20' wide garage on a spot that is 20' between my house and my fence?
A: We assembly the garage on site, men use drills to screw the paneling to the outsides of the frame. You need a min of 18" on each side to be able to do this. We also need room to put our ladders up to work on taller garage sides.

Q: Do you have any other hidden fees or cost that are not on my order? What else can I be charged for?
A: Not many. We put delivery and installation in the cost up front. We can charge extra fees for re-delivery, special request work, leveling a building on an unleveled location and/or attaching a garage to a boat dock, wood deck, or steel container or other odd item,(you must provide us with either lag bolts or lag screws and the correct sized drill bit for special installs). Remember frame sizes are 2.25" or 2.5" so your bolts must be long enough to go through the frame and what ever item you want it attached to and still have threads to tighten it up. We also charge a "build over something fee" $150.00 - $300.00 extra fee for working over your camper or boat, it slows us down so move it out of the way if you can.

Q: What is the garage delivery fee?
A: The delivery fee is already in the price in most cases. Sometimes, If you live in a very remote area, we might ask for extra money for fuel. Large commercial garages with a free span of over 31' wide and over 40' long can incur a freight charge. We ship those buildings out with a tractor trailer due to the truss sizes. Average sized buildings come on a F-350 truck pulling a 30' long trailer.

Q: My brother in-law and I are going to order two garages or a metal garage and/or a carport at the same time. Can we get a better deal?
A: Normally we quote buildings at our lowest price upfront. If you are going to spend over $4000.00 maybe. Call and ask when you know what you want to order.

Q: What is the number 1 complainant people have?
A: Contractors showing up late or early. Our contractors can travel long distances on unfamiliar roads and in unknown traffic conditions. Scheduling estimated when they will get there 4 to 7 days prior to your install day. They typically leave the plant with 4 to 8 buildings at a time. They also must estimate how long the job before your's would take. We try to give you a window of when the sub-contractors will be there. Contractors do show up on time, however they might be late or early. If you don't live where we are building the garage or you are traveling a long ways to meet them at the install location, let the scheduler know when they call to give you a date. All our sub-contractors do is build carports and garages, that is what the specialize in. They can do amazing work and they work hard long hours, sometimes if you are in the middle of no-where they will ask if it is OK to sleep in their work-truck at the job if it is stopped due to darkness or weather. If that is not OK just direct them to the nearest campground or motel.

Q: What is the average time of delivery of my metal garage after order?
A: All metal garages and carports are custom made to order. We cut the sheeting to length, bend and weld the frames to size and cut the legs to size per order. After the order is placed, your lead time is 3 to 6 weeks, sometimes faster. If you are in a hurry let us know we will try to help. Unless it is a standard unit a 1 week turn around is not possible. Take a look at some photos of one of our stock plants. Click on me -> Garage Factory Photos.

Q: I really want a black garage, do you have those?
A: Yes. Just remember the darker the color, the hotter the garage gets on the inside in the sun light. You can fry an egg on a black garage on a hot day in the sun. Order a light color for a cooler garage.

Q: Can I install the metal garage myself?
A: Yes. Q: Do I get a discount? A: 5% if requested at time of order.

Q: What size slab should I make for my garage?
A: Look at this How to Concrete Slab.

Q: What is the warranty on my metal garage?
A: Most metal garages come with a 30 day labor warranty. If you ordered a 12 gauge garage you get a 20 year rust through warranty *assuming normal user care and maintenance.

Q: I am not sure what I need? A: First use a tape measure and size the area you want to cover. Once that is done notice if the area is level or not then look around the area and above the area to make sure nothing is in the way of installing the garage. Then decide on your budget. Call us and we will help price your garage. 1, 2, 3. Simple as that.

Q: What areas do you cover. A: We cover almost the entire USA! 48 States to be exact.

Q: I am ready to order my metal garage, what do I do now?
A: We must speak to you on the phone or in person at our office. Most people order over the phone. We only use the INTERNET to allow you to view pricing and product information. We need to speak to you about the details to help make sure everything will go as smooth as possible on your install. Call with questions or to order your metal garage at 770-943-2265.
